Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve high-quality coffee beverages, including espresso-based drinks and specialty coffees.
- Provide friendly and professional customer service, ensuring a positive experience for every guest.
- Operate and maintain coffee equipment, ensuring cleanliness and proper functioning.
- Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently using the POS system.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to food safety and hygiene standards.
- Assist in managing inventory and placing orders for coffee beans and supplies.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak hours.
- Stay updated on coffee trends and participate in ongoing training to enhance skills.
- Educate customers about different coffee beans, brewing methods, and flavor profiles.
- Assist in opening and closing procedures of the coffee shop.
Qualifications:
- 12 years of experience in a food and beverage role, preferably as a barista.
- Strong knowledge of coffee preparation techniques, including espresso-based drinks and alternative brewing methods.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly and enthusiastic attitude.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- Proficiency in operating POS systems and handling cash transactions.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and hygiene standards.
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Basic Arabic language skills preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
