About the Role

Marriott International is seeking a Hotel Cleanliness Supervisor to join our team in Makkah. This full-time position is suitable for candidates with 0-1 years of experience. The primary responsibility of this role is to ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and the pool area consistently meet established quality standards after cleaning, contributing to an exceptional guest experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect guest rooms, public areas, and the pool area post-cleaning to verify adherence to quality standards.
• Run sold room reports, confirm room status, identify discrepant rooms, and prioritize cleaning schedules.
• Update the status of departing guest rooms accurately.
• Assist Housekeeping management with the daily oversight of activities.

Operational Coordination and Administration

• Act as a liaison to coordinate efforts between Housekeeping, Engineering, Front Office, and Laundry departments.
• Document and resolve issues related to discrepant rooms in collaboration with the Front Desk.
• Prepare, distribute, and communicate changes in room assignments effectively.
• Communicate operational issues clearly to the next shift.
• Complete all required paperwork with precision.

Team Support and Guest Interaction

• Support management in various employee-related tasks including hiring, training, scheduling, evaluation, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching.
• Welcome and acknowledge all guests in accordance with company standards.
• Anticipate and address guests’ service needs, including providing assistance to individuals with disabilities.
• Express genuine appreciation to guests.
• Communicate professionally and clearly with colleagues and guests.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with team members.
• Listen and respond appropriately to employee concerns.

• Adhere to all company, safety, and security policies and procedures.
• Report any maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries promptly.
• Complete all necessary safety training and certifications.
• Maintain a clean and professional uniform and personal appearance.
• Ensure the confidentiality of proprietary information and protect company assets.
• Ensure strict adherence to quality expectations and standards across all tasks.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to move, lift, carry, and place objects weighing up to 55 pounds without assistance, and over 55 pounds with assistance.
• Capability to push and pull a loaded housekeeping cart and other work-related machinery over sloping and uneven surfaces.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Stand, sit, kneel, or walk for extended periods throughout an entire work shift.
• Grasp, turn, and manipulate objects of varying size and weight, requiring fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination.
• Enter and locate work-related information using computers and/or point of sale systems.
• Read and visually verify information in a variety of formats (*, small print).
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
