About the Linguistics Specialist Role

Cactus Communications, through its flagship brand Editage, is expanding its global network of freelance contributors. We are seeking a Linguistics Specialist with proficiency in Southern Saudi Arabic to support ongoing AI and language-based projects. This is a contract-based, remote position suitable for individuals with 0-1 years of experience, located in or familiar with the Al Baha and Makkah regions of Saudi Arabia.

Contribution to Language Projects

The successful candidate will join a platform designed for bilingual speakers to engage in flexible, task-based work. This role is integral to enhancing AI models and language content, contributing to various projects that require precise linguistic input and review.

Core Responsibilities

• Reviewing and refining text, translations, and captions across general subject areas such as travel, food, lifestyle, and finance.
• Transcribing conversations and performing quality checks on transcribed content.
• Labeling or annotating voice, text, or image content for data processing.
• Reviewing and correcting outputs generated by AI systems.
• Assisting in the localization of content specifically for AI models.

Candidate Profile and Requirements

Candidates must demonstrate:

• Near-native level proficiency in Southern Saudi Arabic (the Target Language).
• A strong command of the English language.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to follow specific instructions accurately.
• Prior experience in translation, editing, or related language tasks is preferred.

Work Arrangement and Engagement

This role offers a 100% remote, flexible, and ad hoc work arrangement, allowing contributors to manage their tasks independently.
