About the E-Commerce Manager Role

Kempinski Hotels is seeking an E-Commerce Manager to oversee the online presence and digital marketing initiatives for its Al Khobar location. This full-time position requires a proactive individual with 0-1 years of experience to manage website content, optimize search engine visibility, and drive online revenue.

Website Content and Optimization

The primary responsibility involves maintaining the hotel's website, ensuring all content is current across all available languages and adheres to Kempinski Corporate guidelines. This includes liaising with the corporate office for website enhancements, reviewing and updating rate and room type descriptions in coordination with relevant stakeholders, and establishing a keyword matrix for content development. The role also requires creating and implementing promotional content for special offers, reviewing hotel information on **********, and assisting the corporate office with website-related tasks.

Search Engine and Digital Marketing

A key focus will be on Search Engine Optimization (SEO), ensuring efficient keyword usage within website content. This involves monitoring the hotel website's search engine ranking, updating content with relevant search terms and appropriate keyword frequency to achieve optimal page rank, and analyzing competitor websites to maintain competitiveness. The role also includes updating and optimizing meta descriptions and tags, and liaising with the website agency and corporate office for enhancements. Additionally, the E-Commerce Manager will develop and implement eMarketing initiatives for key feeder markets to increase website traffic and conversions, identify joint e-commerce opportunities with partners, and establish the annual advertising plan for electronic channels, including assistance with PPC creative and media planning. Ensuring brand and marketing message consistency across electronic channels and benchmarking electronic media adverts are also integral.

Email and Social Media Management

The role involves actively developing and maintaining a database of corporate and hotel email newsletter subscribers. The E-Commerce Manager will prepare and send regular corporate email newsletters to subscribers, ensuring they align with the strategy and corporate guidelines, including Corporate Identity. Management of the hotel's corporate representation and social media channels, in accordance with corporate policies, is also required, including monitoring and actively responding to social media interactions and review site tools to ensure consistent brand representation.

Performance Analysis and Support

Analyzing website user behavior, site performance, and referral sources is crucial for informed decision-making. The E-Commerce Manager will analyze website production and booking reports from the website's statistical package and/or the hotel’s Opera property management system. Monthly reports on website Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) will be provided to hotel management and regional and corporate offices. The role also includes monitoring and assisting in ensuring rate parity across all electronic distribution channels in conjunction with the Revenue Director/Manager, and supporting the Corporate Office in necessary initiatives.

Additional Responsibilities

The E-Commerce Manager is expected to undertake mandatory corporate training and apply the learned knowledge to relevant departments. Additional responsibilities and tasks may be assigned as per the business and hotel needs. This role is based in Al Khobar and is a full-time position with no salary disclosed.
