About the Role

Boston Consulting Group (BCG) Platinion is seeking an AI Tech Architect to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on bridging the gap between strategy and technology by designing and building AI tech strategies, solutions, and platform architectures. The role involves working at the intersection of business strategy and technical execution to help leading organizations address complex challenges.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The AI Tech Architect will be instrumental in shaping the digital transformation of globally leading companies. This involves evaluating clients' digital capabilities and conducting feasibility studies. A key aspect of the role is managing small, agile development teams within strategic IT implementation programs. This includes establishing modern practices such as DevOps and CI/CD, and taking responsibility for the technical implementation of critical digital requirements, including cyber resilience.

Key Responsibilities in Architecture and Development

Responsibilities include analyzing, developing, and optimizing cutting-edge, customized IT architectures. This requires a comprehensive understanding of legacy IT systems, enterprise solutions, and current market developments such as cloud computing, microservices, and blockchain. The role demands the ability to translate strategic ambitions into tangible execution, transforming concepts into functional business engines and competitive advantages.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess a degree in computer science, (business) informatics, or a related discipline. A minimum of 2 to 5 years of relevant experience in IT Consulting or software development is required. Familiarity with modern technologies such as machine learning, cyber resilience, DevOps, agile methods, AI, and robotics is essential for building sustainable IT architectures. Experience with hyperscalers, ideally with additional certifications from AWS, Azure, GCP, AliCloud, or TencentCloud, is also expected.

Skills and Attributes

The ideal candidate will have broad technical expertise and a keen interest in technology trends. Comfort working within interdisciplinary teams and global contexts is important. Strong communication skills are necessary, with the ability to understand and articulate complex topics in English. Arabic language proficiency is considered a plus. Flexibility and a willingness to travel to client locations in the Middle East and beyond are also required.
