About the Role

Mace Group is seeking an Assistant Cost Manager - Saudi National to join their team in Riyadh. This part-time position is integral to supporting project delivery by combining construction expertise with consultancy, aligning with Mace's commitment to unlocking potential in every project and person.

The Project

The successful candidate will contribute to a significant development in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This project involves a large multipurpose venue intended for long-term use as a versatile hub for sports, entertainment, and community events within the city.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with feasibility studies, procurement strategies, contract selection, and the preparation of procurement reports to support project delivery.
• Support value management, estimating, and cost planning activities to develop accurate and effective project cost plans.
• Participate in the full procurement process, including prequalification, tender enquiries, bid analysis, contractor selection, and contract preparation.
• Aid in preparing contract documents, warranties, bonds, licenses, valuations, and the management of contract variations in accordance with contractual requirements.
• Support cost control, financial reporting, cost analysis, and the monitoring of design changes, contract awards, construction activities, and client-related costs.
• Contribute to contract administration activities, including practical completion, final accounts, defect rectification certification, and final completion processes.
• Provide cost management support to project teams, develop effective relationships with stakeholders, and contribute to the delivery of team and regional objectives.
• Guide and coach junior team members while promoting collaborative working practices and supporting net zero carbon initiatives through proactive carbon management and reduction strategies.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Saudi nationality is a mandatory requirement for this position.
• A minimum of 5 years of relevant experience supporting cost planning, measurement, variations, and reporting is required.
