About the Role

A confidential government entity in Riyadh is seeking a qualified Auditor with both SOCPA and CPA certifications. This full-time position requires 5-10 years of relevant experience to manage accounting, financial reporting, and compliance activities. The role is integral to ensuring financial integrity and supporting strategic financial decision-making in accordance with Saudi regulations.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare and review financial statements in compliance with IFRS and SOCPA standards.
• Ensure adherence to ZATCA regulations, including VAT, Zakat, and Corporate Income Tax.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and annual closing processes.
• Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll accounting functions.
• Coordinate with external auditors and lead audit processes.
• Prepare and submit VAT and Zakat returns accurately and within deadlines.

Core Duties

The Auditor will be responsible for developing and implementing internal controls and accounting policies. This includes analyzing financial performance, providing management reports and forecasts, and supporting budgeting, cost control, and financial planning activities. A key aspect of the role is ensuring compliance with all relevant Saudi labor, tax, and commercial laws.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• CPA certification (US or equivalent) is required.
• SOCPA Certification / Membership is mandatory.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant accounting experience.
• Strong knowledge of IFRS, SOCPA standards, and Saudi tax laws.
• Demonstrated experience working with ZATCA, VAT, Zakat, and corporate tax regulations.
• Proficiency in ERP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar.

Essential Skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities.
• Effective communication skills.
• Fluency in English is required; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.
