About the Role

Foreground is seeking a Chief Strategy Officer to lead corporate strategy, long-range planning, and growth initiatives for a large, Saudi-based diversified group. This organization is entering a new phase focused on structured growth and portfolio optimization across consumer, services, and industrial sectors. The role is based in Riyadh and is a full-time position.

Strategic Leadership and Planning

The Chief Strategy Officer will be instrumental in defining the group's strategic priorities and future direction. This involves close collaboration with the board and CEO to identify and evaluate new market opportunities and assess potential investment avenues. A core responsibility will be the translation of high-level strategy into detailed, actionable roadmaps with clearly defined, measurable outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the development and execution of corporate strategy and long-range planning.
• Drive group-wide growth initiatives.
• Define strategic priorities in conjunction with the board and CEO.
• Evaluate new market entry and investment opportunities.
• Develop actionable strategic roadmaps with measurable outcomes.
• Oversee market intelligence and competitive analysis functions.
• Monitor and track organizational performance against strategic goals.
• Support mergers and acquisitions (M&A), strategic partnerships, and portfolio reshaping efforts.

Candidate Profile

Candidates must possess significant senior strategy leadership experience, ideally gained within large corporate groups, investment firms, or top-tier consulting practices. A strong background in portfolio strategy and growth planning is essential. Experience within the Saudi Arabia or GCC markets is highly preferred. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high degree of analytical rigor, commercial acumen, and a strong executive presence. Essential to this role are robust stakeholder management and effective communication skills.
