CLINICAL ENGINEER I

About the Role

King Faisal Specialist Hospital & Research Centre in Riyadh is seeking a Clinical Engineer I to provide essential operational and technical support. This full-time role focuses on medical, diagnostic, therapeutic, and analytical devices and systems used in patient healthcare and research. The successful candidate will serve as a designated technical specialist for assigned medical and research technology.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform technical support duties for assigned medical and research technology, including scheduled preventive maintenance according to manufacturer guidelines.
• Execute medical and research technology operational support tasks, encompassing pre-acquisition analysis, site preparation, planning, implementation, ongoing operational support analysis, and technology retirement.
• Train and guide Medical, Nursing, Clinical Engineer IIs, Clinical Engineering Technicians, SCDP participants, Student Interns, and other Clinical Engineering staff on the technical support of complex medical and research technology, through both informal on-the-job training and formal classroom settings.
• Act as the primary technical knowledge source for assigned medical and research technology.
• Ensure medical and research equipment meets all technical support requirements from vendors and adheres to relevant KFSHRC standards prior to purchase.
• Provide and/or coordinate medical equipment user education and instruction as needed.
• Maintain competency in the Clinical Engineering medical technology database and other relevant computer software programs.
• Participate in Hospital committees as assigned.
• Adhere to all Hospital policies and procedures.
• Contribute to self and others' education, training, and development.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 0-1 years of experience in a related field is required.

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, within a leading healthcare and research institution.
