About the Role

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer for its Mechanical Field Engineering team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves providing full lifecycle support for AWS Data Centers, from initial design through site improvements and ongoing maintenance. The successful candidate will serve as the primary engineering resource for their region, offering technical guidance and collaborating with diverse teams.

Role Context

AWS Infrastructure Services is responsible for the design, planning, delivery, and operation of AWS global infrastructure. This includes all AWS data centers and the associated servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure continuous customer access to cloud services. The team addresses complex challenges within a supply chain involving thousands of variables, contributing to the delivery of high standards for safety and security while optimizing costs for customers.

Key Responsibilities

As a Critical Infrastructure Mechanical Engineer, you will lead projects focused on fitting out data centers to meet evolving customer demands and support the expansion of hyper-scale operations. Your daily activities will involve interacting with various teams responsible for all aspects of data center operations. You will prioritize tasks to ensure data center capacity, availability, and safety, focusing on the most impactful actions. This role offers opportunities to work on projects both locally and globally.
