About the Role

alfanar is seeking an Electrical Designer to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position requires 2-5 years of experience and focuses on supporting tendering activities through the preparation of preliminary designs, drawings, and technical documentation.

Key Responsibilities

The Electrical Designer will be responsible for several key areas to ensure accurate and timely offer development during the tendering process. This includes:

• Preparing preliminary drawings, layouts, and design documents for tendering purposes based on provided specifications.
• Supporting the development of base designs required for technical proposals.
• Updating and revising designs in line with engineer inputs and tender requirements.
• Assisting in the preparation of design-related documents and technical submittals for tenders.
• Ensuring the completeness and proper organization of design documentation, including maintaining version control and proper filing of all design outputs.
• Providing required design inputs to the tendering team within defined timelines.
• Aligning design outputs with project specifications, standards, and client requirements.
• Incorporating feedback and comments from engineers into design revisions.
• Coordinating with tendering engineers and relevant teams to clarify design requirements and supporting the communication of design updates and changes during the tendering cycle.
• Uploading and maintaining drawings and documents in designated systems (*, SAP, ECTR) and ensuring the accuracy and completeness of design-related data.
• Following defined design standards, codes, and company guidelines to ensure the accuracy, consistency, and quality of drawings and documentation.

Role Performance and Compliance

Performance in this role is measured by the ability to deliver planned activities to meet operational and development targets within defined schedules, utilizing resources effectively for efficient cost and time achievement. The role requires solving related problems, escalating complex operational issues, and ensuring quality requirements are met through effective quality control processes. Additionally, the Electrical Designer must comply with all related policies, procedures, and work instructions, including ensuring compliance with relevant safety, quality, and environmental management procedures and controls.

Required Skills and Development

The role requires the ability to obtain updated soft and technical skills relevant to the job. Continuous improvement is encouraged through coordination of well-defined written systems, policies, and procedures, with an emphasis on seeking automation opportunities where possible.

Experience and Location

This position is based in Riyadh and requires a minimum of 2 years and a maximum of 5 years of relevant experience. The work type is full-time.
