About the Golf Irrigation Attendant Role

Qiddiya | القدية is seeking a Golf Irrigation Attendant to join their team in Riyadh, Riyadh Province. This full-time position is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of the golf course's irrigation systems to ensure optimal hydration of all turf and landscaped areas. The role requires a proactive approach to maintaining course conditions and promoting environmental sustainability.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and adjust automated irrigation systems to ensure adequate water coverage across all golf course areas, including greens, fairways, and landscaped zones.
• Conduct regular inspections of irrigation equipment and infrastructure to identify and resolve leaks, blockages, or malfunctioning components promptly.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on irrigation pumps, valves, sprinklers, controllers, and piping systems to ensure efficient water distribution.
• Collaborate with landscaping and maintenance teams to coordinate irrigation schedules based on turf and plant water requirements, weather conditions, and conservation goals.
• Maintain accurate records of irrigation activities, repairs, and system modifications.
• Assist in upgrading irrigation systems and implementing water-saving technologies in alignment with environmental sustainability initiatives.
• Ensure adherence to health and safety guidelines during site operations and when handling equipment.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2-5 years of experience operating and maintaining irrigation systems in golf courses, landscaping, or agricultural environments.
• Technical training or certification in irrigation, horticulture, or related fields is preferred.

Technical Skills and Attributes

• Strong knowledge of irrigation system components, including drip, spray, and rotor systems.
• Experience with automated irrigation controllers, timers, and sensors.
• Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues related to irrigation equipment.
• Familiarity with water management best practices and environmental regulations.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
• Physical fitness to perform manual tasks such as lifting, digging, and climbing.
• Attention to detail and proactive problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

Work Environment and Location
