The Role of Government Relations Officer

CTRD Arabia is seeking a Government Relations Officer to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This contract position requires 2-5 years of relevant experience. Reporting directly to the GR Manager, the GRO will be instrumental in ensuring CTRD Arabia's operational compliance within KSA by obtaining and maintaining all necessary licenses, registrations, permits, government approvals, and regulatory requirements. This role is part of the Country Management Office (CMO), which provides centralized support for administration, local operations, and compliance to projects within KSA.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle all government transactions through relevant authorities, including the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development (MHRSD), Muqeem, Qiwa, Absher, Chamber of Commerce, Ministry of Commerce, and ZATCA.
  • Assist employees with government-related queries and ensure a smooth experience in all official matters.
  • Ensure the timely renewal of company licenses, registrations, permits, and official documents.
  • Coordinate with government authorities and external agencies regarding regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate records of all government transactions and employee documentation.
  • Support Saudization (Nitaqat) compliance and workforce-related reporting requirements.
  • Represent CTRD Arabia before government entities when required.
  • Handle telecom, internet, and service requests from company branches.
  • Manage vehicle documentation, including registrations, insurance, and driving authorizations.

Government Relations and Compliance

The Government Relations Officer will manage relationships with relevant government ministries, Royal Commissions, semi-government entities, and regulatory bodies. A critical aspect of this role involves supporting workforce-related government processes such as IQAMA, work permits, exit/re-entry visas, Labour Office matters, Muqeem, Qiwa, HRSD, GOSI, and Saudization / Nitaqat compliance. The GRO will ensure all government correspondence, regulatory submissions, renewals, and employment compliance activities are completed accurately and within required timelines, representing CTRD Arabia professionally in all interactions.

Required Qualifications and Skills

  • 2-5 years of experience in a government relations or similar administrative role.
  • Demonstrated ability to handle confidential employee information with discretion and professionalism.
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple trackers, deadlines, and follow-ups accurately.

Contract Details and Location

This is a contract position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will contribute to the efficient operation and compliance of CTRD Arabia's business activities within the Kingdom.
