HSE Specialist

About the Role

MPH is seeking an HSE Specialist to join our client, a major energy technology partner focused on electrification, automation, and digitalization. This contract position is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience, specifically in electrical safety within construction and commissioning environments.

Role Overview

The HSE Specialist will be responsible for ensuring safety protocols, particularly those related to electrical activities, are strictly adhered to. This role is critical for managing high-risk electrical operations and requires a solid understanding of relevant safety practices and certifications.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage teams and deliver HSE training programs.
• Prepare comprehensive technical reports related to HSE.
• Interpret technical electrical drawings and schematics to ensure safety compliance.
• Implement and monitor electrical safety protocols, including LOTO procedures.
• Oversee energization processes and safe testing & commissioning practices.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, or a related discipline.
• NEBOSH IGC certification (mandatory).
• ISO 45001 Lead Auditor certification.
• Valid First Aid and CPR certification.
• 5–8 years of proven experience in electrical safety (mandatory), particularly within construction and commissioning environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in managing teams and delivering HSE training.
• Candidates with hands-on experience in high-risk electrical operations will be highly preferred.

Required Skills

• Solid understanding of electrical hazards, LOTO (Lockout/Tagout), energization processes, and safe testing & commissioning practices.
• Ability to read and interpret technical electrical drawings and schematics.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Contract Details

This is a 12-month contract position, with the possibility of extension. The work schedule is 10 hours per day, including breaks, 7 days a week. The anticipated start date for this role is October 10th.
