About the Role

Ark Solutionz is seeking an experienced Information Technology Governance Consultant for a contract position with a leading Banking client in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This role requires deep, hands-on expertise in the SAMA IT Governance (ITG) Framework specifically within the Banking, Financial Services, and Insurance (BFSI) sector. Candidates must possess strictly 8 to 10 years of relevant experience to qualify for this engagement.

Key Responsibilities

The consultant will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining IT governance frameworks that ensure technology initiatives align with business objectives and regulatory requirements. Daily responsibilities include:

• Assessing existing IT processes and developing governance policies and procedures.
• Recommending improvements to ensure effective risk management, compliance, and performance monitoring.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams and advising on IT service management.
• Supporting audits and conducting comprehensive gap analyses.
• Providing ongoing guidance on best practices to enhance IT governance maturity across the organization.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following mandatory criteria:

• Experience: Strictly 8 to 10 years of proven, hands-on experience assessing and implementing the SAMA IT Governance (ITG) Framework within a BFSI environment. Candidates with less than 8 years or more than 10 years of experience will not be considered.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
• IT Governance Expertise: Strong skills in IT Governance and Information Technology, including familiarity with governance frameworks and enterprise IT environments.
• IT Service Management: Experience in ITIL or similar service management practices and process optimization.
• Consulting Background: Experience in consulting or advisory roles focused on IT governance, risk, compliance, or security.
• Information Technology Foundation: Solid understanding of infrastructure, applications, cloud environments, and system integration.
• Information Security Knowledge: Proven knowledge including risk management, controls, compliance requirements, and security best practices.

Essential Skills

• Analytical Skills: Advanced ability to interpret complex technical and business information and translate it into actionable governance recommendations.
• Communication: Strong communication and documentation abilities, including the capacity to present governance concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Work Ethic: Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a hybrid environment in Riyadh, managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
