About the Key Customer Specialist Role

Bayer is seeking a Key Customer Specialist for Oncology to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position focuses on advancing healthcare solutions and supporting customer engagement within the oncology sector. The role requires a professional with a strong understanding of the pharmaceutical market and a commitment to driving business growth through strategic customer relationships.

Role Responsibilities

The Key Customer Specialist will be responsible for fostering relationships with Key Thought Leaders (TLs) and Healthcare Professionals (HCPs) to achieve sales targets within assigned key accounts across private and governmental sectors. This includes communicating disease and brand messaging through multi-channel approaches and developing educational curricula with selected speakers. The role involves partnering with TLs to understand their needs and align Bayer's capabilities for co-creating valuable content and solutions. Strategic implementation of Bayer oncology brand strategies is crucial for driving profitable and sustainable growth. The specialist will develop and maintain long-term Key Account Plans and relationships, identifying key accounts and prioritizing opportunities using the 80/20 concept. Continuous updating of HCP lists within key accounts, identifying their scientific interests, and acting as the primary point of contact between stakeholders and Bayer Oncology are also key duties. Collaboration with Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) for speaker contracting and with Virtual Event experts for hybrid meeting formats is expected. All interactions and plans must be reported in VEEVA, with a strong emphasis on maintaining high data quality for customer profiles, activities, and insights. Maximizing customer experience through data-driven decisions and monitoring activities, content, and channels is essential. The role also includes gathering IMS orders, tracking stock levels, consumption, and managing stock movement in coordination with distributor sales teams to align orders, forecasts, and demand.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Pharmaceutical Science.
  • Minimum of 2-5 years of relevant work experience in the Pharma field; experience with key brands is advantageous.
  • At least 1 year of experience within a pharmaceutical company, preferably in Oncology.
  • Hands-on experience with digital and virtual tools is mandatory.
  • Proficiency in operating Bayer virtual platforms and digital tools to deliver exceptional customer experiences in virtual meetings and capture HCP-level data.
  • In accordance with Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) regulations, this position must be filled by a Saudi national citizen.

Required Skills and Competencies

  • Excellent analytical skills, business acumen, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Strong negotiation skills and the ability to engage with senior-level commercial stakeholders.
  • Proven stakeholder engagement record, including partnerships with TLs and institutes.
  • Strong business acumen with desired expertise in commercialization, medical affairs, and customer experience excellence.
  • Solid scientific knowledge and the ability to interpret scientific data within the assigned therapy area.
