About the Lead Design Role

Havelock One Interiors is seeking a Lead Design to join its team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a leading turnkey fit-out service provider in the Middle East since 1998, Havelock One Interiors specializes in interior contracting and the manufacturing of bespoke joinery, metalworks, and sophisticated shop fittings. This role is part of the company's expansion in the key growth market of Saudi Arabia, offering opportunities to work on challenging projects within a respectful corporate culture.

Role Context and Responsibilities

The Lead Design will play a crucial role in delivering turnkey fit-out projects across various sectors including Hospitality, Hotels, High-End Residential, Palaces, F&B, Retail, Entertainment, Health, and Education. The position requires flexibility and adaptability due to project locations across Saudi Arabia, with the primary office based in Riyadh. The Lead Designer will be responsible for overseeing and executing design processes from concept to completion.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Producing architectural plans using CAD software and manual drawing techniques for management and client approval.
• Gathering necessary measurements, dimensions, and performing calculations for design layouts.
• Reworking and modifying designs based on feedback from management and clients.
• Collaborating with other Architects and Designers to exchange ideas and provide support.
• Ensuring all vital information and documentation is accurately recorded and maintained.
• Verifying that all layouts and blueprints comply with industry codes and legal standards.
• Collecting precise information on design requirements for projects.
• Supervising design activities to ensure the accuracy of structural plans.
• Maintaining contact with clients during construction to resolve potential design issues.
• Liaising with the Project Manager and relevant departments regarding design and engineering scheduling.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's degree in architecture or a relevant field.
• More than 8 years of experience in interior fit-out, covering design, detailing, joinery, and furniture installation.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects through the full design lifecycle, from concept to delivery.
• Excellent technical proficiency, particularly with AutoCAD software.
• Strong creative design capabilities.
• Effective time management skills.
• Excellent calculations and mathematical skills.

Work Environment and Location

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. While the office is located in Riyadh, the role involves working on projects across the Kingdom. The company offers an established work environment and a loyal and respectful corporate culture.
