About the Marketing Manager Role

AVALON Pharma is seeking a Marketing Manager to join their team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position requires a professional with 5-10 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing to develop and execute strategies that drive brand growth and market share.

Role Overview and Objectives

The Marketing Manager will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive marketing strategies across AVALON Pharma's pharmaceutical portfolio. The primary objective is to enhance brand growth, increase market share, improve sales performance, and ensure profitability. This involves leading brand planning, product launches, promotional activities, and market analysis, while collaborating effectively with various internal departments and adhering to regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop annual brand strategies and marketing plans aligned with company objectives.
  • Manage the entire product lifecycle, from launch through maturity and portfolio optimization.
  • Analyze market trends, competitive activities, customer insights, and healthcare dynamics to identify growth opportunities.
  • Define brand positioning, value propositions, and communication strategies.
  • Lead new product launch planning and execution, including developing forecasts, business cases, and launch readiness plans.
  • Monitor sales performance, market share, and profitability against targets, and recommend corrective actions.
  • Design and implement integrated marketing campaigns across digital and traditional channels.
  • Develop promotional materials targeting healthcare professionals, pharmacists, and consumers.
  • Manage relationships with agencies, media partners, influencers, and vendors.
  • Drive omnichannel engagement strategies and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Conduct market analysis and customer research to understand prescribing behavior and patient needs, utilizing data sources like IQVIA and pharmacy sell-out data.
  • Translate market insights into actionable marketing initiatives.
  • Collaborate closely with Sales, Medical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs, and Business Development teams.
  • Support field force effectiveness through training and sales tools.
  • Coordinate with key external stakeholders, including distributors and pharmacy chains.
  • Develop and manage annual marketing budgets, monitoring ROI and ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Ensure all marketing activities comply with local health authority regulations and company policies, including reviewing promotional materials for compliance.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this role should possess the following qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in pharmaceutical marketing.
  • A proven track record in product launches and driving brand growth.
