The Project Accountant Role

We are looking for a dedicated Project Accountant to manage the financial aspects of our projects. This full-time position is central to overseeing budgets, tracking costs, and ensuring accurate financial reporting from project inception through to close-out.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor project budgets, costs, and overall financial performance.
• Prepare and submit client invoices and Interim Payment Certificates (IPCs).
• Accurately record project-related expenses, revenues, and journal entries.
• Track accounts receivable and proactively follow up on outstanding payments.
• Reconcile project accounts to ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial records.
• Generate monthly project financial reports, forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Coordinate effectively with Project Managers, Quantity Surveyors, Procurement, and Finance teams.
• Support internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
• Assist with project close-out procedures, final accounts, and comprehensive financial documentation.

Required Experience

Candidates applying for the Project Accountant position must possess 5 to 10 years of professional experience in project accounting or a closely related financial role. This experience should demonstrate a solid understanding of project financial management principles and practices.

Location and Work Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. The role requires a presence at our offices in Riyadh to collaborate effectively with various project and finance teams.
