About the Role

YO IT Consulting is seeking a Python QA Lead to join our team as a full-time, remote contractor. This hourly role is based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, and involves overseeing the quality and consistency of Python AI training projects. The Python QA Lead will ensure high standards across AI-generated Python code and the work of trainers and other QA professionals.

Role Purpose and Impact

This position is with a rapidly expanding AI Data Services company that provides training data to leading AI organizations and foundation-model labs globally. The Python QA Lead will play a direct role in enhancing premier AI models by ensuring that Python training data is accurate, executable, idiomatic, clearly explained, well-documented, and aligned with client specifications. This involves evaluating output quality against project guidelines and providing precise written feedback to contributors.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct spot-checks on Python items, identify quality issues, provide direct feedback, and escalate critical or recurring problems.
• Review AI-generated Python code, including debugging responses, algorithms, backend snippets, automation scripts, tests, and explanations.
• Assess work for code correctness, runtime behavior, debugging accuracy, readability, maintainability, performance, security awareness, test coverage, formatting, and adherence to project rubrics.
• Communicate updates on guidelines, workflow changes, and Python-specific quality expectations to trainers and QAs.
• Address questions related to Python syntax, runtime behavior, exceptions, package usage, testing, typing, security, performance, and rubric interpretation.
• Engage with inactive contributors to encourage activation, track follow-ups, and report availability issues.
• Develop and maintain Python documentation, style guides, trackers, FAQs, examples, honeypots, and onboarding materials.
• Lead onboarding and training sessions for Python contributors.
• Identify and flag misleading, non-executable, insecure, inefficient, or non-production-ready Python recommendations.
• Detect recurring quality gaps and contribute to the improvement of Python QA workflows.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in Python development and quality assurance.
• Demonstrated expertise in Python code review, debugging, and performance optimization.
• Strong understanding of software quality assurance principles and methodologies.
• Ability to provide clear, constructive feedback and maintain documentation.
