About the Radiology Technician Role

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Radiology Technician will operate imaging equipment to perform diagnostic radiologic procedures according to established protocols and safety standards. Key responsibilities include preparing patients for examinations, accurately positioning patients and equipment, and ensuring the diagnostic quality of images. The role also involves monitoring radiation exposure, maintaining precise records, and collaborating with radiologists, physicians, and nursing staff to facilitate timely diagnostic decisions. Additionally, the technician will assist with equipment maintenance, adhere to infection control procedures, and participate in ongoing training and quality improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Radiologic Technology and Radiology, with the ability to conduct standard diagnostic imaging procedures safely and accurately.
• Knowledge of Radiation Safety principles and practices to minimize exposure risks for patients and staff.
• Certification or eligibility for certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) or an equivalent credential.
• Understanding of Medicine and clinical workflows to ensure effective communication with healthcare teams and appropriate patient care.
• A diploma or degree in Radiologic Technology or a related field from an accredited institution.
• Previous experience working in a hospital or diagnostic imaging center, preferably in a similar capacity.

• Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
• Ability to follow clinical protocols and regulatory requirements.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills for collaborative work within a multidisciplinary team.
• Willingness to work on-site in Riyadh and adapt to required shift-based schedules.
• Basic computer proficiency and familiarity with radiology information systems and PACS are advantageous.
