The Role: Sales Manager, Service Providers Saudi

HPE is seeking a Sales Manager, Service Providers Saudi to lead a team of sales professionals in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This full-time, onsite role requires a professional with 5-10 years of relevant experience. The manager will apply expert subject matter knowledge to manage staff activities, resolve complex business issues, and drive significant impact on business unit results and organizational strategy within the service provider segment. This position involves managing activities within a sub-region or region and typically reports to a Director or above.

Key Responsibilities

The Sales Manager will be responsible for setting direction, managing deliverables, and achieving revenue and expense objectives for the assigned sales team. Core responsibilities include:

  • Building well-targeted business plans and strategies for allocating resources and driving sales activities to achieve margin.
  • Assisting in planning sales strategy, managing internal processes, and aligning tactical account plans with overall corporate strategy.
  • Developing and managing geography business plans to meet revenue goals, forecasting accurately, and communicating sales progress.
  • Building, monitoring, and orchestrating sales pipelines to ensure continuous population of near and long-term opportunities, and analyzing overall win rates.
  • Reviewing deals to ensure soundness and problem-free processing by the company's back-end operations.
  • Exhibiting business, financial, and legal acumen to develop meaningful business recommendations and continuously improving area-of-control operations.
  • Orchestrating the development of strategic sales plans that reflect HPE's business strategy to advance market share and achieve profitable growth.
  • Using competitive intelligence in account planning and sales activities to develop counter strategies that neutralize competitive influence.
  • Assessing and managing employee performance to ensure individual and group excellence, and counseling individuals through selling challenges.
  • Modeling effective selling skills, motivating and supporting sales teams, and demonstrating a high level of support in the pursuit and closing of deals.
  • Nurturing and advancing the talent required to maintain the company's sales force excellence and sponsoring skill-building activities.
  • Working through an environment of change and effectively leading a sales team through transitions beyond their control.
  • Understanding the overall company strategic direction and portfolio to assist sales teams in customizing solutions based on client needs.
  • Contributing to enduring executive relationships at the highest levels of client organizations and personally interacting with executives.
  • Strategizing and coaching teams on applying consultative-selling techniques to identify and advance opportunities for profitable revenue growth.
  • Staying current with industry and competitive research, understanding client business challenges, and positioning HPE capabilities.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Sales Manager position should demonstrate the following:

  • A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in sales management, with a focus on service providers.
  • Expert subject matter knowledge in sales and business management.
  • Proven ability to manage and develop a team of sales professionals, typically managing 10 or more direct reports.
  • Accountability for large multi-department areas or locations with significant impact on business unit results.
  • Experience acting as a key advisor to senior management on policy development and long-term organizational goals.
  • Strong capabilities in strategic sales planning, pipeline management, and deal management.
  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching, and people development skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain C-level relationships and apply consultative selling techniques effectively.

Work Environment

This is an Onsite full-time position, with the expectation that the successful candidate will primarily work from an HPE office in Riyadh. The role operates within a culture that embraces professional growth, values varied backgrounds, and offers flexibility to manage work and personal needs.
