About the Role

Hill International (Middle East) Limited is seeking a Senior Design Engineer (E2) to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position focuses on regional infrastructure water projects, requiring a candidate with over 10 years of experience.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Senior Design Engineer will leverage extensive technical experience and knowledge to oversee the design management of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants, pumping stations, and desalination plants by client design consultants. This role involves supporting the Project Manager in ensuring design delivery aligns with program requirements and client expectations. Key responsibilities include managing and coordinating the design team, monitoring consultant activities, and providing progress reports. The engineer will also plan and organize the review of consultant deliverables, interface with subject matter experts, and perform analyses on design plans. Additionally, the role requires setting up green initiatives in design processes, specifying analytical methods for decision-making, and providing quality assessment reports to project management and the client. Assistance will be provided to Contracts and Construction teams during pre-construction and post-contract phases. Continuous compliance with Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies is mandatory. Other duties as assigned by management will also be part of the role.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

• Manage the design of Water/Wastewater Treatment Plants, pumping stations, and desalination plants by client consultants.
• Support the Project Manager in design delivery according to program and client requirements.
• Assist in managing the team of design engineers and consultants.
• Coordinate and monitor design consultant activities, providing progress reports.
• Plan and organize the review of design consultant deliverables, engaging with subject matter experts.
• Perform analysis on design plans and review findings for reports.
• Implement green initiatives within design processes.
• Specify analytical methods to support decision-making.
• Provide quality assessment reports to Project Management and the client.
• Assist Contracts and Construction teams with pre-construction and post-contract activities.
• Ensure adherence to Hill International's Quality, Environmental, Safety, and Occupational Health policies.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor's or Master of Engineering degree from an accredited university.
• A minimum of 15 years of professional experience post-graduation.
• At least 10 years of design experience specifically related to water and wastewater projects.
• Proficiency in reviewing and approving designs for water and wastewater works.

Required Skills and Knowledge

• Knowledge of water and wastewater master plans.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
