About the Role

Informa PLC is seeking a Senior Project Manager to join their team in Riyadh. This full-time position involves overseeing the delivery of projects within Portfolio 2, focusing on detailed project planning, execution, and stakeholder management.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing comprehensive project plans and timelines. This includes breaking down events into key phases, identifying major deliverables, and establishing a project schedule. You will coordinate with all stakeholders to define scope, set expectations, and establish deadlines for each milestone.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Stakeholder Management: Acting as the primary liaison between internal and external stakeholders, ensuring clear communication, managing expectations, and fostering strong relationships.
  • Feature Management: Overseeing the planning and execution of event features from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with event goals and enhancing attendee experience.
  • Risk Management: Identifying potential risks, developing contingency plans, maintaining risk logs, and implementing mitigation strategies to ensure smooth event delivery.
  • Coordination of Multi-Functional Teams: Acting as a central hub for coordinating efforts across various functional teams, aligning tasks and timelines to ensure seamless execution.
  • Venue and Vendor Management: Securing and managing venues, suppliers, and vendors, including contract negotiation and ensuring timely delivery of goods and services.
  • Communication and Reporting: Establishing regular communication plans, providing status reports, and serving as the primary point of contact for issue resolution.
  • Post-Event Evaluation: Conducting post-event reviews, assessing success metrics, gathering feedback, and preparing final reports with lessons learned.

Required Experience and Skills

Candidates should possess experience or exposure in managing mid to large-scale trade exhibitions, conferences, sports events, or FMCG launches. The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously across different lifecycle stages is essential.

Key requirements include:

  • Experience in managing mid – large scale trade exhibitions, conferences, sports events or FMCG launches and events.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deliverables at different stages of the project life cycle.
  • Exposure to evaluating and managing inter-departmental processes and milestones.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder interaction and management, both internal teams and external partners.
  • Experience with risk management and mitigation planning.
  • Exposure to MS Office/Office 365 suite, Smart Sheets, and Airtable.
  • Ability to perform critical work involving judgment, accuracy, and speed with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Airtable, and Smart Sheets.
  • Ability to prioritize work tasks and deadlines, proficient in using scheduling tools.
  • Proactive and self-motivated attitude.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer-facing skills.
  • Cultural awareness and sensitivity.

Work Location and Type

This is a full-time position based in Riyadh.
