About the Role

Alfanar is seeking a Senior Tendering Engineer specializing in Telecommunications for a full-time position in Riyadh. This role is responsible for leading the preparation of complex technical and commercial proposals, requiring close collaboration with various internal teams and external stakeholders.

Core Responsibilities

The Senior Tendering Engineer will manage the end-to-end proposal development process. This includes thoroughly reviewing client requirements, developing optimized technical designs, and ensuring cost-effective solutions are presented. The role demands validation of technical documentation and providing customer support throughout the pre-sales and project execution phases.

Proposal Development and Costing

• Review customer RFQs and technical specifications to define design requirements.
• Prepare accurate cost estimates and Bills of Quantities (BOQs) by analyzing drawings, material, and labor needs.
• Optimize designs for cost-effectiveness, manufacturability, and adherence to customer specifications.

Technical Review and Documentation

• Develop and review technical documentation, including design calculations, schematics, and proposal content.
• Validate the accuracy and feasibility of proposed design solutions prior to submission.
• Ensure all proposals meet established quality standards and project-specific requirements.

Collaboration and Support

• Engage with clients and consultants to obtain technical clarifications during the proposal phase.
• Provide technical support during negotiations to facilitate approvals and project acceptance.
• Coordinate with engineering, procurement, and production teams to align proposal requirements with operational capabilities.
• Support modifications and variations during project execution by preparing revised designs or cost estimates.

Continuous Improvement and Compliance

• Recommend improvements for proposal templates, costing methodologies, and design workflows.
• Stay updated with new technologies and industry trends to enhance proposal competitiveness.
• Perform planned activities to meet operational and development targets within delivery schedules, utilizing resources effectively.
• Solve related problems and escalate complex operational issues as needed.
• Ensure compliance with relevant policies, procedures, work instructions, and health, safety, and environmental management systems.

Qualifications

This role requires 10-15 years of relevant experience. The ability to acquire updated soft and technical skills related to the job is essential. Candidates must demonstrate proficiency in developing effective quality control processes and coordinating well-defined written systems and procedures, with a focus on seeking automation opportunities.
