About the Audit Specialist Role

SGS - Saudi Ground Services is seeking an experienced Audit Specialist to lead professional auditors in conducting comprehensive financial, operational, and procedural audits. This full-time position contributes to achieving SGS's business objectives by enhancing operational efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the reliability of financial reporting, promoting compliance with laws and regulations, and safeguarding assets. The role also focuses on improving SGS's operations through a systematic approach to risk management, control, and governance processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise audit teams in executing financial, operational, and procedural audits.
• Ensure timely completion of all audits, reviewing all steps and documentation of the audit program.
• Verify that organizational activities comply with SGS policies, procedures, and applicable government legislation.
• Conduct checks to ensure the effective and compliant use of company resources.
• Develop comprehensive and detailed audit programs and testing procedures relevant to identified risks and objectives.
• Obtain and review audit evidence, ensuring conclusions are well-documented and based on a complete understanding of processes, circumstances, and risks.
• Prepare clear, detailed, and cross-referenced work papers in compliance with professional internal audit practices.
• Present audit findings and recommendations for corrective actions to management, both orally and in writing.
• Prepare reports on audit findings and collaborate with line managers to agree on action plans and timelines.
• Evaluate the performance and capabilities of assigned auditors, and provide guidance and training to new employees.
• Communicate assigned tasks clearly to the engagement team, ensuring high-quality and efficient results.
• Adhere to all applicable professional standards and stay updated on the latest auditing methodologies and technologies.
• Conduct follow-up on audit recommendations to ensure proper implementation and resolution of issues.
• Share knowledge across the Internal Audit team regarding findings, control gaps, and lessons learned.
• Lead investigations when required for reported cases.
• Perform other related functions as directed by the Internal Audit manager or director.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant experience is required.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or an equivalent field is mandatory.
• Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CCSA, CMA, CISA, CRMA, and CFE are preferred.
