About Euro Group Engineering Consultancy

Euro Group for Engineering Consultancy is seeking a highly skilled Planning Engineer to join its team. This full-time position is based in Jeddah and Makkah, Saudi Arabia, and involves supporting major construction and supervision projects across the Kingdom. The company is dedicated to delivering projects efficiently and within established parameters.

The Role of a Planning Engineer

The Planning Engineer plays a critical role in ensuring project success by developing and maintaining detailed schedules, monitoring progress, and proactively managing risks. This position requires a strong focus on strict adherence to contractual obligations, compliance with project control standards, and the ability to prevent delays, disputes, and potential penalties across all project phases.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, update, and maintain detailed project schedules for all phases of construction and supervision.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure alignment with the approved baseline schedule.
  • Ensure project completion within the contractual timeframe, preventing delays that may lead to penalties or contractual claims.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports, dashboards, and performance analyses for management and clients.
  • Coordinate with project managers, consultants, and contractors to validate progress and resolve scheduling conflicts.
  • Analyze productivity, resource allocation, and sequencing to optimize project timelines.
  • Identify risks and delays, evaluate their impact, and recommend mitigation measures to avoid contractual breaches.
  • Prepare revised schedules, recovery plans, and time-impact analyses when required.
  • Ensure compliance with contractual requirements, project specifications, and quality standards throughout all planning activities.
  • Support claims analysis, extension-of-time evaluations, and delay impact assessments in accordance with contract provisions.
  • Participate in technical and progress meetings, presenting planning updates and recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate documentation to support contractual compliance and protect the company’s interests in case of disputes.

Required Experience

Candidates for this role should possess a proven track record in planning engineering within the construction sector. A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience is required, with a significant portion of this experience focused on infrastructure works.
