About the Role: Water Process Engineering Manager

Rawafid Industrial is seeking a Water Process Engineering Manager to provide technical leadership in the design, development, optimization, and operation of water and wastewater treatment systems. This full-time position is based in Jiddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering process engineering solutions, developing treatment process designs and calculations, supporting project execution, and ensuring compliance with applicable technical and project requirements. This role involves close collaboration with clients, project teams, and other engineering disciplines to ensure the safe, efficient, timely, and budget-compliant delivery of water and wastewater treatment projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and expertise in the design, operation, and optimization of water and wastewater treatment facilities.
• Develop, evaluate, model, and simulate new and existing water and wastewater treatment technologies and processes.
• Conduct process audits and assessments to identify operational improvements and optimization opportunities.
• Prepare process models, mathematical models, simulations, and sensitivity analyses using approved engineering software.
• Develop Piping & Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs) and Block Flow Diagrams (BFDs).
• Prepare mass balance calculations, process calculations, design reports, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
• Size water process equipment, pumping and lifting stations, tanks, dry wells, and wet wells for water/sewer networks and treatment plants.
• Prepare priced and unpriced Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and support engineering cost estimates.
• Develop operation and maintenance manuals, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
• Troubleshoot and resolve process and operational issues in water and wastewater treatment plants.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure process designs comply with relevant discipline requirements.
• Work closely with clients, consultants, contractors, and other stakeholders throughout project execution.
• Support the successful delivery of projects in accordance with technical, schedule, quality, and budget requirements.
• Prepare technical and calculation reports and other engineering documentation.
• Stay current with emerging technologies, industry developments, and best practices in water and wastewater treatment.
• Provide technical guidance, training, and mentorship to junior engineers.

Academic Qualifications and Certifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or a related engineering discipline.
• Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE) certification is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) certification is preferred.

Professional Experience

• 7-12 years of relevant experience in water and wastewater treatment process engineering.
• Minimum 7 years of in-Kingdom (Saudi Arabia) experience.
• Experience working on water and wastewater treatment projects within an engineering, construction, EPC, or related environment.

Essential Skills and Knowledge

• Strong experience in the design, analysis, optimization, and troubleshooting of water and wastewater treatment systems.
• Proficiency with process calculations, mass balances, equipment sizing, process modeling, and treatment plant design.
• Experience preparing P&IDs, BFDs, design reports, technical specifications, BOQs, and O&M documentation.
• Strong knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes, environmental requirements, and applicable engineering standards.
• Experience coordinating with multidisciplinary engineering teams and interacting with clients and other project stakeholders.
