We are currently seeking a dedicated Biomedical Engineer to join our technical team in Jeddah, Makkah, Saudi Arabia. This full-time position offers an opportunity to contribute to the critical maintenance and optimal functioning of medical equipment within our facilities.

The Role of a Biomedical Engineer

The Biomedical Engineer operates independently to provide essential repair and preventive maintenance services for a diverse range of medical equipment. This role is fundamental to meeting customer expectations and ensuring operational satisfaction, while also providing crucial support and training to other technical staff. We are seeking candidates with 0-1 years of experience in the field.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring the availability and accuracy of medical equipment and surgical instruments inventory.
Performing repairs, testing, and calibrations on diagnostic and therapeutic medical equipment, and maintaining associated records according to pre-designed plans.
Planning all related activities, including inspection, testing, and maintenance, prior to the start of each year.
Providing preventive maintenance to medical equipment in a safe, self-directed, and timely manner, adhering to manufacturer's instructions.
Monitoring radiation safety (including laser) and applying relevant policies and necessary measures.
Submitting monthly indicator reports to the biomedical engineering manager.
Acting as a preceptor to physicians, nurses, and technical staff regarding medical equipment operation, including technical support during surgeries and medical procedures.
Participating actively in the facility's designed education program.
Solving problems utilizing analytical processes, potentially involving multiple internal and external resources.
Preparing documentation and maintaining records pertaining to all repairs, replaced parts, calibrations, and modifications of medical equipment.
Gathering and providing first response information on medical equipment-related issues involved in patient occurrence reports.
Identifying aging and obsolete patient care equipment for higher management.
Providing supporting documentation for the assessment, justification, and selection of new equipment.
Interacting with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
Complying with the medical equipment management plan and policies.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates for this Biomedical Engineer position must possess 5 years of relevant experience. A strong foundational understanding of medical equipment functionality, maintenance principles, and safety protocols is expected.

Professional Conduct and Continuous Learning

The Biomedical Engineer is expected to maintain a neat and orderly work area, and conduct all duties, personal appearance, and interactions with colleagues, staff, and customers in a professional manner. This role encourages continuous learning, utilizing unassigned time to enhance knowledge of technology and procedures. Other duties may be assigned as required to support departmental objectives.
