Role Overview

Delta Hotels and Resorts® is seeking a dedicated Laundry Supervisor to join its team in the Makkah region, serving properties in either Makkah or Jeddah. This full-time position is ideal for individuals with 0-1 year of experience in laundry operations, focusing on maintaining high standards of cleanliness and efficiency within a dynamic hospitality environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor washing, dry cleaning, and drying machinery, including the accurate addition of chemicals and routine cleaning of lint traps.
• Identify stained or damaged items and determine the appropriate action, such as repair, spot treatment, rewash, or discard.
• Inspect the cleanliness of articles removed from laundry machines and ensure their proper placement in clean linen carts.
• Set dryers to designated times and temperatures based on the specific fabric types within each load.
• Remove lint and debris from dryer screens, dry cleaning filters, and drain traps after each load to maintain operational efficiency.
• Fold cleaned articles to their designated size, utilizing either manual methods or a folding machine.
• Maintain accurate records of all laundered items.

• Adhere to all company safety and security policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to management; complete all required safety training and certifications.
• Comply with all company policies and procedures; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; and protect company assets.
• Develop and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues; support the team in achieving common goals; listen and respond appropriately to the concerns of other employees.
• Ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards; identify, recommend, develop, and implement new ways to increase organizational efficiency, productivity, quality, safety, and/or cost-savings.
• Visually inspect tools, equipment, or machines to identify any defects or maintenance requirements.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time or for an entire work shift.
• Capability to move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance.
• Capacity to move through narrow, confined, or elevated spaces.
• Ability to move over sloping, uneven, or slippery surfaces, as well as up and down stairs and/or service ramps.
• Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling, and stooping.
• Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.

Experience and Qualifications

Candidates for the Laundry Supervisor position are required to have 0-1 year of relevant experience, demonstrating a foundational understanding of laundry operations and a commitment to maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
