SNC-Lavalin Fayez Engineering is seeking a Senior Utilities Engineer Wet Services to join their team. This is a full-time position focused on the supervision and monitoring of wet utility systems within major building and hospitality developments.

Role Overview

The Senior Utilities Engineer (Wet Services) is responsible for overseeing the construction of essential wet utility infrastructure. This includes ensuring that potable water, irrigation, sewerage, stormwater drainage, and firefighting water networks are installed in strict adherence to approved designs, project specifications, authority requirements, and industry standards. The role is critical in supporting overall quality, safety, and timely project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise the installation of potable water networks, irrigation systems, sanitary sewer networks, stormwater drainage systems, and firefighting water infrastructure.
• Verify that all wet utility works are executed in accordance with approved construction methodologies and engineering standards.
• Monitor workmanship quality and ensure compliance with project specifications and utility authority requirements.
• Witness inspections, testing activities, and commissioning processes associated with utility installations.
• Ensure timely identification and resolution of construction deficiencies and non-compliant works.

Technical Requirements and Coordination

• Review wet utility shop drawings, hydraulic calculations, material submissions, and technical proposals.
• Coordinate with civil, structural, architectural, MEP, and landscape teams to resolve interface and constructability issues.
• Evaluate requests for information, technical queries, and proposed design modifications related to utility systems.
• Support the review of value engineering proposals while maintaining operational and regulatory requirements.
• Provide technical guidance and recommendations for utility system optimization and issue resolution.
