About the Role

Accor is seeking a Sales Manager to drive revenue growth within one of its network hotels. This full-time position offers opportunities for professional development within a global hospitality group that encompasses over 45 brands and 5,500 hotels. The role is integral to creating positive and memorable experiences for guests and colleagues, embodying the vision of responsible hospitality.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

The Sales Manager is responsible for developing and implementing strategic sales plans across all market segments, including Corporate, Government, Leisure, Travel Trade, MICE, and Social Events. The primary objective is to maximize hotel occupancy, meeting room utilization, food & beverage revenues, and cultivate long-term business partnerships, all while upholding Mövenpick and Accor brand standards. This involves actively identifying new business opportunities, nurturing relationships with existing clients, and contributing to the hotel's annual revenue targets.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to meet monthly and annual revenue targets.
  • Prospect and secure new business across all market segments.
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with corporate accounts, government entities, travel agencies, and key decision-makers.
  • Conduct daily sales calls, client meetings, and outside sales activities.
  • Organize and participate in site inspections and hotel presentations.
  • Negotiate contracts, rates, and business agreements in accordance with hotel policies.
  • Promote guest rooms, meeting facilities, restaurants, catering services, and special offers.
  • Manage a portfolio of key accounts, ensuring high customer satisfaction and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Revenue Management and Reservations to optimize yield and profitability.
  • Monitor competitor activities, market trends, and pricing strategies.
  • Support the generation of banquet and catering business, and coordinate with operational departments for successful event execution.
  • Maintain and update client information within the CRM system and ensure proper documentation of sales activities.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly sales activity reports and monitor performance against targets.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should possess:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in hotel sales, preferably with an international hotel brand.
  • Prior experience in Corporate, Government, and MICE sales is highly preferred.
  • Knowledge of the Saudi Arabian hospitality market is considered an advantage.
  • A valid driving license is preferred.

Required Skills and Competencies

Successful candidates will demonstrate:

  • Strong knowledge of hotel sales and marketing principles, and revenue management strategies.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and experience with CRM systems and hotel sales platforms.
  • Excellent negotiation and closing skills, with strong communication and presentation abilities.
  • The capacity to build and maintain business relationships, coupled with strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure, with strong organizational skills and a team-oriented approach.
  • Knowledge of Opera PMS, Delphi, Cvent, or similar hotel systems is an advantage.

Work Environment and Conditions

This is a full-time position requiring flexible working hours based on business needs. The role involves frequent local travel for client meetings and sales visits, as well as participation in trade shows, exhibitions, and networking events.
