About the Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a part-time Peer Reviewer to support its information systems. This is a long-term, stable, and remote position based in Saudi Arabia. The role requires a strong academic background and a keen eye for detail in evaluating research manuscripts.

Role Overview

The Peer Reviewer will be responsible for critically assessing submitted manuscripts to ensure their quality, originality, and adherence to academic standards. This role is crucial in maintaining the integrity and credibility of the information system by providing expert evaluations and recommendations.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate the novelty and originality of submitted manuscripts, determining their contribution to the field of study.
• Assess the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verify that the manuscript thoroughly incorporates and cites relevant, up-to-date research.
• Analyze the presentation of results and conclusions, ensuring they are clearly stated, supported by data, and significant to the field.
• Provide constructive feedback to authors, highlighting potential improvements, flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Make recommendations regarding manuscript publication status (acceptance, revision, or rejection) to the journal editor.

Required Qualifications

• Doctorate (PhD) or equivalent advanced degree in the relevant subject area.
• A minimum of 5-10 years of experience in the field.
• At least 5 papers published in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the relevant discipline.
• Prior experience as a peer reviewer for academic journals is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with online manuscript submission and review systems.
