About the Peer Reviewer Role

Fengkai Group Co., Limited is seeking a qualified individual for a long-term, stable part-time remote position as a PhD Peer Reviewer specializing in Materials Science. This role involves evaluating academic manuscripts to ensure their quality and contribution to the field. Applicants are advised to carefully review the requirements and complete the application process accurately.

Core Responsibilities

The primary responsibilities of this role include:

• Assessing the originality and novelty of submitted manuscripts, determining if they introduce new knowledge or insights to Materials Science.
• Evaluating the appropriateness, comprehensiveness, and clarity of study designs and methodologies to ensure reproducibility.
• Verifying that manuscripts thoroughly incorporate and cite relevant, up-to-date research within the field.
• Analyzing the clarity and appropriateness of results presentation, and confirming that conclusions are supported by data and are significant to the discipline.
• Providing constructive feedback to authors, highlighting potential improvements, flaws, omissions, or ethical concerns.
• Recommending publication decisions to the journal editor based on the comprehensive evaluation.

Required Qualifications and Experience

Candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Possession of a Doctorate (PhD) or an equivalent advanced degree in Materials Science or a related field.
• A publication record of at least 5 papers in SCI/SSCI journals within the past three years.
• Demonstrated thorough understanding of research methodologies and ethical principles within the relevant scientific discipline.
• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of relevant experience.
