About the Translator Role at QIMA

QIMA is seeking a professional Translator to join our team in Al Madinah, specifically supporting operations in Yanbu and Medina. This part-time role focuses on facilitating clear communication between our auditors and factory personnel, ensuring the integrity and efficiency of our quality inspection services. QIMA is dedicated to helping global brands, retailers, and manufacturers deliver trusted products to consumers through comprehensive quality control solutions.

Role Overview and Responsibilities

As a Translator, you will play a crucial role in bridging language barriers within our operations. You will work closely with our Factory Auditors to ensure accurate and effective communication during audits and related activities. Your primary responsibility is to facilitate understanding between English-speaking auditors and Chinese-speaking factory staff.

• Translate various written materials, including audit reports, technical documents, correspondence, and policies, from English to Chinese and vice versa with precision.
• Provide real-time interpretation services during factory visits, meetings, interviews, and discussions between auditors and factory personnel.
• Assist auditors in understanding Chinese language documents, local regulations, and cultural nuances relevant to the audit process.
• Maintain accurate records of translated documents and interpretation sessions for future reference.
• Demonstrate cultural sensitivity and professionalism when interacting with individuals from diverse backgrounds.

Qualifications and Experience

We are looking for candidates with a strong command of both English and Chinese languages. The ideal candidate will possess the necessary skills to perform translation and interpretation duties effectively in a professional setting.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills in both English and Chinese.
• Proven experience in translation and interpretation, preferably within a corporate or industrial environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build rapport with individuals from diverse cultural backgrounds.
• Excellent attention to detail and the capacity to maintain confidentiality when handling sensitive information.
• A Bachelor's degree in Translation, Linguistics, or a related field is preferred.
• Certification or accreditation in translation and interpretation is considered a plus.
