Aircraft Mechanic III Powerplant/Engine MH

About the Role

Amentum is seeking an Aircraft Mechanic III Powerplant/Engine MH to join our team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time position requires a skilled H-60 powerplant/engine mechanic capable of performing Planned Maintenance Interval Inspections (PMI), Organizational, Intermediate, and Depot level maintenance on MH-60 helicopters. The role involves troubleshooting, testing, inspections, and repairs of hydraulic components, flight controls, pumps, landing gear, tires, hydraulic, pneumatic, and pressurized systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform H-60 helicopter maintenance, including the maintenance and repair of major assemblies, subassemblies, hydraulic, pneumatic, and related systems.
• Conduct inspection, troubleshooting, fault detection, fault isolation, and appropriate corrective actions on hydraulic components and related systems.
• Manage all maintenance documentation, applicable forms, records, and reports using appropriate references and publications, including the NAMP.
• Operate and maintain all applicable ground support equipment. Identify, use, and maintain common, special, and precision tools for powerplant maintenance and repair.
• Provide On-the-Job-Training (OJT) for Saudi technicians and other personnel, including maintaining appropriate training records.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 8 years of current or previous experience performing complex helicopter mechanical work.
• Proficiency in inspection, assembly/disassembly, repair, replacement, troubleshooting, rig checks, and testing of various hydraulic components, airframes, landing gear assembly, bridge assembly, and rotor head systems.
• Ability to install, adjust, align, and perform final functional/operational tests on major aircraft systems, assemblies, sub-assemblies, and components such as hydraulic servos, pumps, main/tail rotor blades, and flight control systems.
• Capability to disassemble and reassemble components/sub-systems, determine required repairs, and complete checkout procedures to ensure proper operation.
• Experience visually checking components for corrosion, improper wear, and adjustments.
• Skilled in using a variety of precision measuring instruments, special tools, scales, test stands, and external power sources.
• Knowledge of the makeup, operation, installation, and adjustment of major interrelated and/or integrated aircraft systems, subsystems, and assemblies including hydraulic, pneumatic systems, airframes, surface repair, and landing gear.
• Ability to inspect main mounts and tail wheel shocks, struts for cracks, damage, security, leaks, and proper lubrication.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematic diagrams.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

The role requires the ability to walk and stand on level and/or inclined surfaces for extended periods, climb stairs, ramps, ladders, and work stands. The individual must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, distinguish color, and judge three-dimensional depth.
