BI Consultant

About the Role

Datamatics Technologies is seeking a BI Consultant to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This is a full-time, on-site position requiring strong BI development and consulting skills, with a mandatory requirement for Arabic speaking proficiency. The role involves building end-to-end BI solutions and translating business requirements into effective dashboards and reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Building end-to-end BI solutions, from data modeling to visualization and deployment.
• Gathering requirements directly from business stakeholders and translating them into actionable dashboards and reports.
• Developing and troubleshooting ETL/ELT data pipelines that feed BI layers.
• Optimizing SQL queries, developing stored procedures, and managing complex joins.
• Implementing data modeling techniques such as star schema and dimensional modeling.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of experience in BI solution development.
• 4-6+ years of hands-on experience building BI solutions end-to-end.
• Expert-level proficiency in at least one major BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik).
• Strong SQL skills, including query optimization, stored procedures, and complex joins.
• Demonstrated experience in data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling).
• Proficiency in ETL/ELT processes for building and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Ability to gather and translate business requirements into BI solutions.
• Proficiency in DAX or equivalent calculation languages, particularly if Power BI-centric.
• Must be an Arabic speaker.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar unified analytics platforms.
• Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics integrated into BI layers.
• Experience presenting to executive or C-level audiences.
• Domain experience in operations, logistics, parking, or municipal data.
• Familiarity with data governance and row-level security implementation.
• Prior consulting background, including client-facing engagements, scoping, and stakeholder management.

Work Environment

This position is based in Al Jubail, KSA, and requires full-time, on-site presence. The role involves direct interaction with business stakeholders to understand and address their BI needs.
