BI Consultant

About the Role

Datamatics Technologies is seeking a BI Developer/Consultant to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. This is a full-time position requiring strong skills in building Business Intelligence (BI) solutions and the ability to translate business requirements into actionable dashboards and reports. The role involves direct engagement with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver end-to-end BI solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Build end-to-end BI solutions, from data modeling to visualization and deployment.
• Gather requirements directly from business stakeholders and translate them into effective dashboards and reports.
• Develop and troubleshoot ETL/ELT data pipelines that feed BI layers.
• Optimize SQL queries, create stored procedures, and manage complex joins.
• Implement data modeling techniques, including star schema and dimensional modeling.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• 4-6+ years of experience in building end-to-end BI solutions.
• Strong hands-on experience with a major BI tool (Power BI, Tableau, or Qlik), with expert-level proficiency in at least one.
• Proficiency in SQL, including query optimization, stored procedures, and complex joins.
• Demonstrated experience in data modeling (star schema, dimensional modeling).
• Experience with ETL/ELT processes, including building and troubleshooting data pipelines.
• Ability to gather and translate business requirements into BI solutions.
• Proficiency in DAX or an equivalent calculation language, particularly if Power BI-centric.

Preferred Skills and Experience

• Experience with Microsoft Fabric or similar unified analytics platforms.
• Exposure to Python or R for advanced analytics feeding into BI layers.
• Experience presenting to executive or C-level audiences.
• Domain experience in operations, logistics, parking, or municipal data.
• Familiarity with data governance and row-level security implementation.
• Prior consulting background, including client-facing engagements, scoping, and stakeholder management.
