About Jubail Model United Nations

Jubail Model United Nations (JUBMUN) is a student-led Model United Nations conference based at ISG Jubail in Al Jubail, Eastern Region, Saudi Arabia. Founded to provide a platform for debate, diplomacy, and student leadership, JUBMUN brings students together to engage with global issues, develop public speaking and negotiation skills, and collaborate with peers. The inaugural conference, JUBMUN I, themed “Breaking the Chain,” will take place on 6–7 November 2026.

The Role of Committee Chair

JUBMUN is seeking Committee Chairs to join the team for JUBMUN I. This full-time role involves facilitating committee sessions, guiding delegates through debate, and maintaining a professional, engaging, and inclusive committee environment throughout the conference. Ideal candidates are high school students. A registration fee of 250 SAR applies for participation.

Key Responsibilities

• Facilitate structured committee debate in accordance with JUBMUN Rules of Procedure.
• Maintain fairness, professionalism, and appropriate committee conduct.
• Support delegates and encourage meaningful participation.
• Coordinate with fellow Chairs before and during the conference.
• Prepare for the assigned committee and agenda prior to the conference.
• Communicate with the Secretariat regarding committee progress, concerns, and requirements.
• Assist with evaluating delegate performance and conference awards.

Recruitment Process

Candidates are required to submit the Chair application form. Shortlisted applicants will be invited for an interview with the Head of Chairs, Deputy Secretary-General, and Secretary-General. Successful candidates will be contacted following the interview process.
