About the Role

TASNEE is seeking an experienced Engineer II Rotating to join its team in Jubail, Al Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves troubleshooting, process improvement, and maintenance modifications, requiring independent work and generic process design on specific technologies. The Engineer II Rotating will also liaise with external entities and lead small teams on minor projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply planning and analytical skills to interpret data and reach optimal conclusions.
• Troubleshoot chronic issues affecting equipment and plant availability.
• Provide first-line supervision and act as a technical reference for Fresh and Area Rotating Engineers and assigned technicians.
• Resolve problems impacting plant performance by forming cross-functional teams and collaborating with senior staff.
• Prepare routine and non-routine reports.
• Maintain awareness of all maintenance strategies and developments.
• Conduct Reliability studies on Rotating equipment to identify weaknesses and opportunities for productivity and availability improvements.
• Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA) for major machine failures, demonstrating hands-on skills with proven cases.

Technical Expertise

• Polymer Plant Equipment: Hands-on experience as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in troubleshooting, engineering, life assessment studies, and resolving performance issues for major polymer plant rotating equipment such as extruders and high-pressure reciprocating compressors (*, HYPER compressors).
• Turbo Machinery: Hands-on experience as an SME in troubleshooting, engineering, life assessment studies, and resolving performance issues for major turbo machinery rotating equipment including steam turbines, centrifugal compressors (*, MITSUBISHI compressors), and gas turbines (SIEMENS SGT600).
• Vibration Analysis: Possess a fundamental understanding of vibration analysis, including reading vibration signatures and basic analysis. A Vibration Certificate CAT. Level-II is mandatory, with Level III preferred.
• Oil Analysis: Ability to analyze oil analysis reports, challenge third-party reports, and provide conclusions and recommendations. A Machinery Lubrication Analyst (MLA) Certificate Level-II is mandatory.

Qualifications and Requirements

• A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience.
• Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) is required.
• Ability to mentor junior staff and supervise their work as needed.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent working knowledge of maintenance and corrective procedures for rotating and associated equipment, specifically centrifugal compressors, reciprocating compressors, turbines, and pumps.
• Good knowledge of Machinery Condition Monitoring technologies and maintenance philosophies is desirable.
• Strong command of business-level written and spoken English.

Work Environment

This full-time position is based in Jubail, Eastern, Saudi Arabia. The role involves participation in work programs and budgetary planning, with problem-solving and decision-making based on variations of standardized procedures requiring specialist professional expertise.
