The Role of a Heat Treatment Technician

Cooperheat Saudi Arabia is seeking experienced Heat Treatment Technicians to join its growing team in Al Jubayl. This full-time role involves hands-on execution of various industrial heat treatment operations across diverse client sites, ensuring adherence to procedures and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities and Technical Scope

Heat Treatment Technicians are responsible for a range of specialized tasks, including:

• Performing Oil & Gas Fired Heat Treatment / Combustion Heating, including internal and furnace firing.
• Executing Post Weld Heat Treatment (PWHT) for piping, heavy vessels, and pressure equipment.
• Conducting Refractory Dry-Out using both electrical resistance and combustion-fired methods.
• Implementing Electrical Resistance Heating, utilizing 70 KVA and High voltage trolley systems, and four bank channel elements.
• Installing thermocouples, and managing temperature measurement, control, monitoring, and recording.
• Setting up, operating, troubleshooting, and maintaining heat treatment equipment.
• Setting up, installing, and operating temporary furnaces.
• Reading heat treatment procedures, interpreting P&IDs and drawings, and preparing field documentation.

Candidate Requirements

Prospective candidates should meet the following criteria:

• Proven field experience in industrial heat treatment operations.
• Ability to work safely, independently, and as part of a team.
• A Diploma in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
• Previous experience in Saudi Arabia or the GCC oil & gas industry is considered a distinct advantage.

Work Environment and Location

This role involves site execution at various industrial facilities, including refineries, petrochemical plants, power plants, fabrication yards, and oil & gas facilities. Technicians must be prepared to work in demanding industrial environments within Al Jubayl and surrounding areas.
