About the Company and Role

Saudi Aramco Total Refining and Petrochemical Company (SATORP) is seeking a Maintenance Engineering Support Manager to join their team in Al Jubail, Eastern region. This full-time role focuses on providing engineering governance, troubleshooting, and technical support to enhance equipment reliability, integrity, and maintenance effectiveness within the Maintenance Engineering Support Section.

Role Purpose and Impact

The Maintenance Engineering Support Manager is responsible for leading and coordinating all Maintenance Engineering activities. The role ensures compliance with SATORP's HSSE, regulatory, and technical requirements, while driving initiatives for maintenance cost optimization, risk-based maintenance, failure analysis, and overall asset performance improvement. This position is critical for sustaining asset integrity and operational reliability within the refinery and petrochemical environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with SATORP HSSE, regulatory, and technical requirements across all Maintenance Engineering activities.
  • Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Maintenance Engineering programs, including cost optimization, risk-based maintenance, failure analysis, and asset performance improvement.
  • Lead and coordinate engineering efforts for routine maintenance, critical equipment maintenance, turnarounds, shutdowns, and asset integrity initiatives.
  • Govern engineering standards, maintenance strategies, and procedures to ensure safe, compliant, and optimized asset performance.
  • Direct and approve troubleshooting activities and Maintenance Engineering recommendations to mitigate operational risks and enhance equipment reliability.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of preventive, predictive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance programs for Mechanical and Instrumentation assets.
  • Monitor equipment reliability, maintenance effectiveness, recurring failures, and technical risks, ensuring timely corrective actions and sustainable performance improvements.
  • Foster a culture of technical excellence, continuous improvement, and operational discipline through effective leadership, coaching, and development of Maintenance Engineering personnel.
  • Define departmental priorities, allocate resources, and ensure the successful delivery of Maintenance Engineering objectives aligned with business and operational goals.
  • Govern spare parts optimization strategies to ensure critical material availability while balancing reliability, operational risk, and cost effectiveness.
  • Ensure effective utilization of CMMS to control maintenance activities, minimize reliability risks, and sustain asset integrity.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical/Instrumentation Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 10-15 years of experience in relevant refinery or petrochemical environments.

This is a full-time position based in Al Jubail, operating within the dynamic environment of a refining and petrochemical company. The role requires a proactive approach to engineering support and leadership in a critical industrial setting.
