Mechanical Technician

About the Role

Acwa China is seeking a Mechanical Technician to join their team in Al Jubail, Saudi Arabia. This full-time role involves executing various maintenance activities on plant equipment under the direction of a Mechanical Supervisor/Engineer. The position requires 2-5 years of experience in a relevant field.

Job Summary

The Mechanical Technician is responsible for performing preventive, corrective, and condition-based maintenance activities, as well as annual outage and overhauling work on plant equipment. All tasks must be conducted with strict adherence to safety protocols.

Key Responsibilities

• Comply with NOMAC safety rules and regulations.
• Execute all maintenance activities in a timely and safe manner, following applicable maintenance procedures and work instructions.
• Document maintenance concerns and history for equipment.
• Report spare parts and consumables requirements to the Mechanical Supervisor and update on spares availability.
• Ensure proper isolations are performed before commencing maintenance activities, in coordination with the Mechanical Supervisor and local operator.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose problems, and perform maintenance on equipment within assigned jurisdiction.
• Install, adjust, inspect, service, and repair various static and rotating mechanical equipment used in power and desalination plants.
• Maintain proper care of tools, lifting equipment, and other related devices required for assigned jobs.
• Carry out all necessary preparations for mechanical maintenance to assigned equipment/areas.
• Demonstrate working knowledge of equipment operation and associated operating systems.
• Perform 5S housekeeping in the work area.
• Undertake other duties as assigned.

Required Experience

• Candidates should possess 2 to 5 years of experience in mechanical maintenance, preferably within power and desalination plants.

Work Environment

This role requires readiness to work in a remote location.
