Process Safety Engineer

About the Role

TRS Staffing Solutions is seeking a Process Safety Engineer for a contract position in Al Jubail, Eastern Region. This role involves leading and facilitating process safety studies and ensuring compliance with engineering standards across various project phases. Key Responsibilities

• Lead and facilitate process safety studies such as HAZID, HAZOP, SIL, and LOPA, including scope definition, node selection, documentation, and action closure.
• Ensure process safety is integrated across the PDP, FEED, and DEP phases, applying inherently safer design principles and safeguarding hierarchy.
• Review and validate relief, flare, overpressure, and hazardous area concepts in accordance with API 521 and international standards.
• Develop and review Process Safety Design Philosophy and verify protection layers, including instrumented, procedural, and mechanical safeguards.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and regulations, coordinating with multidisciplinary teams and reviewing licensor/vendor deliverables.

Required Experience

Candidates for this position must possess over 10 years of relevant experience in process safety engineering. This experience should include a strong background in leading safety studies and ensuring compliance within industrial projects.
