Project Engineer (SMP)

About the Role

SASREF is seeking a Project Engineer (SMP) to manage and deliver multiple projects from concept development through to closeout. This contract position is based in Al Jubail, Eastern region, and requires engagement with various stakeholders to ensure project scope clarity and support throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Accountabilities

• Review project scope and prepare concept packages.
• Support MTA Scoring Sessions for project prioritization.
• Organize and develop Projects CAPEX Business Plans on a yearly basis.
• Support the respective area project in the Technical Committee (TCM) for development and implementation approvals.
• Review project schedules at the initial phase to ensure implementation.
• Analyze schedule, cost, and deliverables, providing corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure projects run on schedule to achieve the target spending plan.
• Arrange frequent meetings with MPE Engineering and Construction counterparts to understand project status and address concerns.
• Attend regular Spirit Meetings, providing feedback and seeking support from team members.
• Communicate and coordinate with sponsors and other stakeholders as required.

Workplace and Process Safety

The Project Engineer is responsible for ensuring personal safety and well-being, and for not jeopardizing the safety of others. Adherence to all IOWs, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safe Work Instructions is mandatory to prevent potential Workplace (WPS) and Process Safety Management (PSM) incidents. Compliance with the SASREF HSE Policy, the 5 Safety Principles, and 8 Golden Safety Rules is strictly required.

Cybersecurity Responsibilities

This role requires maintaining SASREF’s cybersecurity by implementing security best practices. Strict adherence to all cybersecurity requirements when dealing with SASREF’s assets and data, and compliance with SASREF’s information security policies, are essential.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5-10 years of relevant experience in project management.

Work Environment

This position operates within a restricted area with a day working schedule.
