Role Overview

The Senior Project Execution Engineer (HVAC Projects) is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of HVAC projects within the Central Region of Saudi Arabia. This full-time position is based in Riyadh, specifically in the Al Dar Al Baida District. The role encompasses chiller replacements, retrofit works, VRV system supply and installation, and full turnkey solutions. The Senior Project Execution Engineer manages the entire project lifecycle, from sales handover through planning, execution, monitoring, financial governance, commissioning, and close-out, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, compliant with contractual obligations, and aligned with quality and HSE standards. The role requires 5-10 years of experience.

Key Responsibilities

  • Validate project scope, specifications, commercial terms, and contractual obligations received from the Sales team.
  • Identify key risks, assumptions, constraints, and develop mitigation strategies at the project outset.
  • Lead internal and external project kick-off meetings to ensure alignment among all stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage integrated project execution plans, including schedules, resources, procurement, cash flow, and cost baselines.
  • Coordinate with engineering, design, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure project readiness and alignment.
  • Review technical submittals, method statements, and compliance documentation to meet project execution standards.
  • Lead site execution of HVAC projects, managing subcontractors and ensuring adherence to scope, quality, and timelines.
  • Ensure strict compliance with HSE standards and coordinate proactively with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to resolve issues and prevent delays.
  • Track progress against baseline schedules and key milestones, monitoring cost performance, variations, and change orders.
  • Issue accurate and timely progress reports, dashboards, and forecasts, implementing corrective and preventive actions for deviations.
  • Manage project financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and margin protection.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, ensuring systems meet design intent, operational performance, and client requirements.
  • Lead final inspections, snag closure, and stakeholder approvals, ensuring complete and accurate handover documentation.
  • Conduct structured project close-out reviews, capturing lessons learned and institutionalizing best practices.

Project Financial Oversight

This role holds responsibility for the project's financial performance. This includes managing budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and protecting project margins. The engineer will manage payments, variations, and claims, ensuring alignment with contractual obligations and profitability targets.

Testing, Commissioning, and Handover

The Senior Project Execution Engineer oversees the testing and commissioning of HVAC systems, including chillers and VRV systems, to ensure they meet design intent, operational performance, and client requirements. This involves leading final inspections, snag closure, and securing stakeholder approvals. The role ensures the provision of complete and accurate handover documentation, such as as-built drawings, O&M manuals, and warranties, and secures formal client acceptance and project closure. Support for service teams during the defect liability period (DLP) is also required, alongside strengthening client relationships for potential repeat business.
