QC Inspector Dimensional

About the Role

HUDSON is seeking a QC Inspector – Dimensional to join their team in Al Jubail. This contract role is responsible for ensuring the dimensional accuracy of castings and forgings against stringent customer specifications and engineering drawings. The inspector will play a critical role in maintaining quality control throughout various stages of the casting process, with a focus on dimensional inspection, documentation, and non-conformance resolution.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct dimensional inspections of castings and forgings according to engineering drawings, customer specifications, and ISO 8062 standards.
• Perform visual inspections of sample and bulk castings and forgings, ensuring compliance with markings and lettering.
• Maintain and verify the calibration status of all measuring and testing equipment in the inspection area.
• Prepare and maintain comprehensive dimensional inspection reports and related quality documentation.
• Accurately record dimensional deviations and non-conformities, and monitor the effectiveness of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs).
• Coordinate with relevant departments to address dimensional deviations and verify corrective actions.
• Assist the QC Engineer in developing and implementing dimensional inspection standards.
• Interpret engineering drawings, Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), and apply relevant ISO, ASME, and ASTM standards.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in dimensional inspection, preferably within the casting and forging industry.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret engineering drawings, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Proficiency in applying ISO 8062 standards and other relevant ISO, ASME, and ASTM standards for dimensional and visual inspection.
• Experience in operating and maintaining dimensional inspection equipment.
• Strong understanding of quality documentation, non-conformance reporting, and corrective action processes.
