Safety Officer

About the Role

KBR Saudi Arabia is seeking a Safety Officer to join its Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) division in Al Jubail. This full-time role involves conducting safety inspections of equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure the safety of personnel engaged in Oil & Gas Facilities. The Safety Officer will contribute to KBR's commitment to delivering holistic and value-added solutions across the asset lifecycle, including licensed process technologies, advisory services, and energy transition solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect equipment, tools, and working conditions to ensure the safety of workers in Oil & Gas Facilities.
• Examine safety belts, ladders, ropes, rubber goods, and tools, replacing any that do not meet safety requirements.
• Observe crews at work and report any non-compliance with safety precautions, such as the failure to use goggles, rubber gloves, and other safety devices.
• Assess the condition of ditches and tunnels, recommending the use of braces to prevent cave-ins that could endanger workers.
• Investigate accidents to determine their causes and develop preventive measures.
• Instruct workers in the proper use of safety equipment and safe work methods.
• Ensure compliance with all established safety procedures.
• Encourage the reporting of unsafe acts and conditions.
• Comply with all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) procedures before and during work activities.

Qualifications and Experience

• A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in a relevant safety role.
• Demonstrated ability to conduct thorough safety inspections and identify potential hazards.
• Experience in investigating incidents and implementing corrective actions.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices within Oil & Gas Facilities.
