Job Description

About the Role

Air Products Qudra is seeking a Senior Project Planning & Controls Engineer to join their team in Al Jubail. This is a contract role focused on providing expert planning and project controls support for BHIG’s Project Portfolio Organization. The successful candidate will ensure accurate scheduling, cost forecasting, and performance reporting, driving compliance with BHIG standards and customer requirements to enable successful project delivery within scope, time, and budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain integrated project schedules using Primavera P6 or equivalent tools. Ensure alignment of engineering, procurement, and construction activities with overall project timelines. Perform schedule risk analysis and recommend mitigation strategies.
  • Prepare and monitor project budgets, cost forecasts, and cash flow projections. Track commitments, expenditures, and variances against approved budgets. Support monthly cost reporting and earned value analysis.
  • Implement Air Products and BHIG project controls procedures. Maintain accurate progress measurement systems and performance dashboards.
  • Provide transparent reporting to customers and stakeholders on schedule and cost performance. Address concerns promptly and ensure alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Collaborate with engineering, procurement, and construction teams to validate progress data. Support change management processes and assess impact on schedule and cost.
  • Identify schedule and cost risks; develop mitigation plans. Evaluate change requests and incorporate approved changes into baseline plans.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in project planning and controls, specifically within oil & gas or petrochemical projects.
  • PMP or equivalent certification is preferred.

Working Conditions

This is a site-based contractor role in Jubail, primarily at BHIG and customer sites, with occasional travel required.
