Role Overview

KBR is seeking a Static Technician II to join its team in Al Jubail, located in the Eastern region. This full-time role is central to ensuring the optimal condition and functionality of static equipment and piping systems. The technician will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of these critical assets within process environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute work based on job instructions, drawings, and specifications received from the Supervisor.
  • Lead a team of technicians in daily operational tasks.
  • Utilize appropriate tools and equipment, including heavy-duty specialized tools from the Central tool room.
  • Operate basic machine tools such as grinders, power saws, drill presses, and threading machines.
  • Perform all installation and maintenance activities in strict adherence to SATORP procedures and guidelines.
  • Conduct necessary testing, including hydro and pneumatic tests.
  • Obtain required work permits prior to commencing any work.
  • Ensure good housekeeping practices are maintained during and after job completion.
  • Complete jobs to meet established quality and schedule standards and company requirements.

Required Experience and Qualifications

  • A minimum of 5 to 10 years of experience in maintaining static equipment and piping systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team of technicians.
  • Proficiency in operating a range of tools, from basic machine tools to specialized heavy-duty equipment.
  • Experience in performing installation, maintenance, and repair tasks for static equipment and process piping.
  • Capability to conduct various types of testing, such as hydro and pneumatic.

Safety and Operational Compliance

The Static Technician II is expected to uphold the highest standards of safety and operational compliance. This includes maintaining strict adherence to SATORP safety standards and all Safety, Health, and Environment (SHE) standards and procedures. The role requires proactive reporting of all near misses, unsafe conditions, and acts to ensure a safe working environment. Consultation with the Supervisor is essential for addressing any technical issues that arise.

Professional Development

KBR supports continuous learning and professional growth. The Static Technician II will be required to attend scheduled Safety and Technical training sessions to enhance skills and knowledge, ensuring ongoing competence in a dynamic operational environment.
